Privacy notice
This notice describes how the personal data of visitors to mail.amiciatavola.it is processed (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”).
Data controller
[to be filled in: name, address and e-mail of the controller]
Browsing data
This site does not use profiling cookies, third-party analytics tools, advertising, or fonts and content loaded from other servers. Like every website, the server records the technical data needed for operation and security (for example the IP address and the page requested) in the provider’s logs, which are kept only for as long as is strictly necessary.
Anonymous statistics
To find out which recipes are of most interest, the site counts anonymously the pages visited, the PDFs downloaded, the shares on WhatsApp and the words searched for. No cookies or external services are used and the IP address is never stored: at the time of the visit it is used only to derive the country of origin and an anonymous code that changes every day, so that no visitor can be recognised over time. The data stays on the site’s server and is deleted after about 13 months (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact form
If you write using the contact form, your name, e-mail address, subject and message are stored in the site’s database and sent by e-mail to the controller, for the sole purpose of replying to your request (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (a) GDPR). To protect the form from abuse, a cryptographic fingerprint (hash) of your IP address is kept, not the address itself. Messages are deleted when they are no longer needed, and in any case within 24 months.
Sharing on WhatsApp
The “Share on WhatsApp” button is a simple link: no data is sent to WhatsApp until you click it. From that moment on, WhatsApp’s own privacy notice applies.
Data that stays in your browser
The shopping list, the ingredients and steps you tick, and your consent to voice commands are saved only in your browser (the device’s local storage) and are never sent to the site. When you open the shopping list page, the site receives only the numbers of the recipes you have chosen, in order to add up the quantities; it does not store them. You can delete this data by clearing the list or by deleting the site’s data in your browser settings.
Voice commands and reading aloud
In cooking mode you can, if you wish, turn on voice commands (“next”, “back”, “timer”…). Speech recognition is not carried out by this site but by your browser: depending on the browser and the phone, your voice is processed directly on the device or sent to the browser vendor’s service (for example Google, Apple or Microsoft), in accordance with their privacy notice. The site never receives or stores the audio. Voice commands start only after you confirm and switch off when you close cooking mode. Reading the steps aloud uses your device’s speech synthesis or, if the site has switched it on, the Google Cloud Text-to-Speech voice: in that case this site sends Google only the text of the step, never any data about you, and the audio comes to you from amiciatavola.it.
Private area “My dinners”
Some people have an account for the “My dinners” area, made on request by whoever runs the site. Account holders can store their guests’ data there (name, nickname, phone, email, preferences, intolerances and allergies, notes), their dinners and photos. This data stays in the site’s database, is not public, is not used for anything else and only the account holder sees it; the photos have no public address. The account holder is responsible towards their guests for the data they enter and can delete it at any time; deleting the account deletes all of its data and photos.
Administration area
The administration area uses a technical session cookie, which is necessary for logging in and limited to the /admin path. Visitors to the site receive no cookies, apart from the technical one that remembers the language they have chosen. The administrator’s browser also receives a technical cookie that excludes their visits from the statistics.
Your rights
At any time you may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of processing, or you may object to it, by writing to the controller through the Contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
